Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born November 18, 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix demonstrated a talent for athletics from the beginning, as she discovered her athletic abilities when she was a student at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, in just 10 weeks following the first time she tried out. Felix was signed to a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003, and later enrolled in University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic medal in 2004 at the Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. She set the Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 second. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion for the 200 meter race. She was able to defend the title the following year, by beating her Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed at the top of the podium in all her competitions during the Olympics held at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
