Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was born at Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister at Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was a natural athlete and developed a passion of sprinting while in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished third in the 200-meter race during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished high school and signed a pro-contract for Adidas. In 2004 she was enrolled at the University of Southern California, which is where she studied elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004's Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s, setting an all-time junior world record. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the world's youngest champion for running 200m. She won the title in 2007. was able to defend her title by beating Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently within the top three athletes at her particular events.
